Ether channel or Port channels
- Ether channel, which is also known as link aggregation or Port channel.
- Ether channel bundle multiple phisical link to make a single logical link.
- Ether channel can be used for load balancing or load sharing and fault tolerance.
- Ether channel or Port channel have three mode LACP, PAgP and ON MODE.
- Ether channel increase bandwith , increase availablity and load sharing.
- Required same duplex, native Vlan and allow vlan and switch mode should be same .
- Layer 2 distribution on source and destination Mac
- Layer 3 distribution on source and destination IP address
- Min link 2 required and Max 8 interface
- Ether channel configure switch to switch and switch to servers.
LACP (Link aggregation control Protocol)
